What are the FRP profile products?

Why can FRP profiles prevent corrosion?
The corrosion resistance of FRP profiles mainly depends on the resin. The less functional groups in the resin, the less active and the more stable the resin. For example, ester groups are easy to be dissolved by alkaline water, amide groups are easy to be dissolved by acid, polar bonds such as C-O and C-N are easy to hydrolyze, and C-H is easy to be oxidized. These are chemical actions. It is also related to glass fiber, filler, curing agent and surface treatment agent. In addition to chemical or physical effects on glass fiber and resin, chemical media also play a role in its interface bonding, leading to the destruction of FRP properties. Therefore, reasonable selection of materials and improvement of resin crosslinking density are the key to manufacturing corrosion resistant FRP. The three factors, temperature, concentration and resin type, which play a dominant role, can only be determined according to the specific situation.
What is the material of FRP profile
There are many kinds of FRP pultrusion profiles, including FRP round tubes, FRP square tubes, FRP rectangular tubes, FRP round rods, and FRP I-beams. The basic components of pultruded FRP profiles are resin and glass fiber (including cloth, felt, etc.). It uses fiber (including glass fiber, carbon fiber, organic fiber and other metal and non-metallic fibers) as reinforcement materials, and resin (mainly epoxy resin, polyester resin, phenolic resin) as binder, It is compounded with other auxiliary materials (main auxiliary materials: release agent, curing agent, catalyst, sealing agent, UV light stabilizer, mold cleaning water, gel coat, etc.). It has a series of excellent characteristics such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high strength, small specific gravity, low moisture absorption, small extension and good insulation
What are the application fields of FRP profiles?
1. Light weight and high strength The density of FRP profile is about 1.7, which is 4~5 times lighter than steel, but its strength is very high. Its tensile strength is 350~450MPa, which is close to that of ordinary carbon steel. The bending strength is 388MPa, and the bending modulus of elasticity is 20900MPa. Therefore, it does not need to be reinforced with steel lining. After testing, the wind pressure resistance of FRP window can reach 5.3Kpa, which exceeds the level 8 in the international GB/T7106-2002 standard. 2. Energy saving and thermal insulation The thermal conductivity of FRP profile is 0.39W/m · k, which is only 1/100~1/1000 of metal. It is an excellent thermal insulation material. In addition, the FRP profile is an open web structure, and all gaps are sealed with rubber strips and wool strips, so the thermal insulation effect is significant. According to the test, the heat transfer coefficient of glass fiber reinforced plastic casement window (single frame double glass window) K0=2.2W/(m2 · K), which belongs to Grade 8 level in the national standard GB/T8484-2002; The heat transfer coefficient of glass fiber reinforced plastic casement window (single frame three glass window) K0=1.8W/(m2 · K), which belongs to level 9 in the national standard GB/T8484-2002; The heat transfer coefficient of glass fiber reinforced plastic casement window (single frame three glass window, low radiation glass) K0=1.3 W/(m2 · K), which belongs to the level 10 in the national standard GB/T8484-2002. 3. Why is the strength of FRP profile so high?
The specific gravity is 1.8-2.1g/cm3, which is only a quarter of the steel. FRP pultrusion products are lightweight and high-strength; The tensile strength of pultruded profiles is 150~300MPa, and the bending strength is 200~300MPa. The retention rate of bending strength after 1000h artificial accelerated aging can reach 78%. 2. Low deformation rate: after 1000h artificial accelerated aging, the length change of FRP pultrusion profile is+0.03%, and the width change rate is -0.07%. Therefore, the geometric shape and size of the products made of the pultrusion profile can maintain long-term stability. 3. High hot deformation temperature: the hot deformation temperature of pultrusion profile is 186 ℃, which will not soften under high temperature and will not be brittle under - 60 ℃, ensuring normal use under various ambient temperatures. 4. Low water absorption: the water absorption of ordinary FRP products is less than 0.5%, while the water absorption of pultruded profiles is only 0.257%, which is suitable for use in harsh outdoor and humid environments. 5. Low thermal insulation coefficient: the thermal insulation coefficient of pultruded profile is close to that of hard PVC, and the thermal insulation coefficient of single frame double glass thermal insulation window made of pultruded profile is only 2.69W/(m2. K), while that of the same type window made of steel and aluminum is as high as 4.0W/(m2. K).
What are FRP profiles?
Glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) is also known as GFRP, that is, fiber reinforced plastic, which generally refers to unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin and phenolic resin matrix reinforced with glass fiber. The reinforced plastics with glass fiber or its products as reinforcement materials are called glass fiber reinforced plastics or glass fiber reinforced plastics, which are different from tempered glass. Due to the different types of resins used, there are differences between polyester FRP, epoxy FRP and phenolic FRP. Light and hard, non-conductive, stable performance, high mechanical strength, less recycling and corrosion resistance. It can replace steel to make mechanical parts, automobile and ship shells.
